VW sees the Arteon as the perfect car to lure customers away from traditional premium companies like Audi and BMW but does it what it takes?
It sure looks special, with the bodywork having the proportions of a true four-door coupe and a distinctive front end that combines a clamshell bonnet along with a new grille and LED headlights.
The new VW Arteon also comes with plenty of tech too; the range of driver assistance systems is the widest ever to be offered in a Volkswagen and including the Emergency Assist 2.0, which can bring the car safely to a halt if necessary.
Too bad that the dashboard design is basically similar to that found in the Passat, but at least the quality is excellent and features things like the Active Info Display and an optional 9.2-inch infotainment system with gesture control.
Are all these traits enough to convince premium buyers? Mat Watson from CarWow tries to find out on the video linked below.
