If you’re a Formula One fan and you enjoy racing games as much as the next person, Codemasters’ yearly F1 franchise is what you might call a must-buy.
This latest iteration, recently presented at E3 2017, is looking to build on what F1 2016 did right, while adding a more expansive career mode, as well as classic F1 cars to the mix.
Some of those classic cars, such as the Ferrari F2007 and the RB6 from Red Bull were sampled by Inside Sim Racing, who also learned how all this new classic content might be incorporated into the game.
Apparently, Codemasters really thought about how you could drive both 2017 cars as well as classic cars within the same campaign and their solution was to have you race for this very wealthy owner who likes to have those older cars perform at special track events.
In terms of graphics, it seems that F1 2017 doesn’t really set itself apart from last year’s installment, which is unfortunate, although there’s still time to improve the game before its August 25 launch date.
