Many companies can restore a classic G-body Porsche 911, but to reach this kind of quality, you’ll need GProgramm’s expertise.
GProgramm took this 1979 911, stripped it to bare metal and rebuilt it from the ground up, including the 3.4-litre twin-plug engine which is fed by carburetors and now makes 350hp.
The cabin is highlighted by beautiful tartan upholstery, a vintage-style rollbar, new seats and numerous other details, including the always gorgeous balsa wood shifter.
The suspension has been upgraded from torsion beam to coilover and the brakes come from the 986 Boxster with four-piston calipers all around to allow the chassis better cope with the newfound power.
And then we get to the price: GProgramm will ask you around $200k for a car like this one, which might sound a lot to most of us for a G-body 911, even one as nicely done as this one, but this is all a matter of perspective; after all, the cheapest Singer 911 you can get starts at $400k, which makes this one kind of a bargain.
