Even though Gran Turismo Sport was supposed to come out back in 2016, Polyphony Digital decided to go back to the drawing board and give fans a new approach to driving simulators.
The E3 teaser trailer shows a product tailored to motorsport enthusiasts, with features such as an online series sanctioned by the FIA, VR compatibility and much more.
PlayStation 4 users will also be able to race Porsche models for the first time in a Gran Turismo game, while enjoying the improved graphics, physics and engine notes, not to mention a more immersive cockpit environment.
GT Sport is one of many racing games due to drop this year, joining the likes of The Crew 2, Forza 7, Project Cars 2 and Need For Speed: Payback. Other titles such as DiRT 4 are already out, while F1 2017 will launch on August 25th.
According to Gamespot, Gran Turismo Sport, which arrives this fall, will run at 4K and 60 FPS on the PS4 Pro, with HDR support also available. As for how it compares to any of the previously mentioned titles (Forza 7 and Project Cars 2 in particular), that remains to be seen.
