First things first; we like the Fiat Multipla because it looks so bad, it actually looks good. Makes sense? No? Moving on then.
Buying what is essentially a 6-seater (in-two rows, please) minivan and then driving it flat-out on the Nurburgring with a timer running is also brilliantly stupid and we can’t give enough kudos to the people behind the whole project.
Speaking of which, these are the same guys that bought a tired yellow Mazda MX-5, nicknamed the ‘Ringbanana’, showcasing in a series of videos just how fast an old Miata can be with a stock engine.
When he’s not winning his class on the Nurburgring 24 Hours with a Porsche Cayman GT4, Gabrielle Piana prefers to drive flat out old stock-engined Miatas and apparently Fiat Multiplas as well at the Green Hell.
But unlike the similarly-powerful Mazda, the Fiat Multipla appears to be the definition of slow around the track, struggling even to keep its momentum going with third gear. You can actually see Kostas’ magnificent beard growing by the time they finish their lap and despite Gabrielle’s best efforts.
Grow yourself a beard too, by clicking the video linked below.
