BMW has already sold all 830 units of the M4 GTS, but it still uses it as its poster boy to draw out attention and promote the rest of its models.
The Bavarian automaker employs it in various humorous commercials, such as this one, which shows why it’s not exactly suitable for chauffeuring your mother-in-law. Little does she know that she will have a hard time getting out of the potent Bimmer, which culminates with a mild headache, when she decides to pop in for a visit “between the race track and Sunday lunch”, according to the description of the video.
BMW had used a similar approach a couple of weeks ago to promote the M3, with a dad prank his kid by stepping on the gas and leaving the young one behind just as he was getting ready to open the door.
This series of commercials proves that the Germans do have a sense of humor after all, especially when they want to sell us their cars.
