While it may be your job as a parent to keep your kids from fighting among themselves, the 2018 Honda Odyssey can facilitate that task through its Magic Slide seat system.
We’d like to think Honda didn’t just design this system only so parents can keep their kids separated and away from each other’s toys. Officially though, the Magic Slide second-row seats are meant to offer extra flexibility and easier access to the third row, even if you already have one or two rear-facing child seats installed.
Then again, we can’t completely exclude a more “strategic” use for having this system on-board, as kids will tussle from time to time in the car, which in turn can make it hard for the driver to focus on the road.
Another piece of clever tech you can use to keep an eye on your kids while driving the 2018 Odyssey is Honda’s CabinWatch system. This lets the driver and the front passenger monitor the two rear rows with the help of an 8″ infotainment screen, connected to an infrared camera mounted on the ceiling. Also, if you spec the car with the Rear Entertainment System, you can talk to your second and third-row passengers through wireless headphones.
All in all, this 60-second spot from Honda is very lighthearted in nature, despite the giant monsters wrecking havoc on that city, in a way that almost calls for the Power Rangers to assemble their Megazord.
