The Seat Arona has been spied undisguised while being flown over the city of Barcelona, Spain.
Snapped by Instagram user marcosgf, the picture reveals the compact crossover will have a rakish windscreen, a contrasting roof, and a tailgate-mounted spoiler. We can also see alloy wheels, slender taillights, and silver accents on the rear bumper. The Arona also appears to have plastic body cladding and a relatively small greenhouse.
Seat has been tight-lipped about the model but it will slot beneath the Ateca and become the brand’s entry-level crossover.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but are expected to carryover from the Ibiza. This means choices could include a 1.0-liter TSI with outputs of 95 PS (70 kW) and 115 PS (84 kW). The company may also offer a 1.5-liter TSI four-cylinder engine with 150 PS (110 kW).
Diesel fans will likely have the option of ordering a 1.6-liter TDI engine with outputs of 80 PS (58 kW), 95 PS (70 kW), and 115 PS (84 kW).
The Seat Arona will be unveiled on June 26th and the model will be launched later this year.
