Regardless of what you might now think of the Rover 75, fact is that, back in the day, plenty of media members awarded it with a great number of accolades.

According to Regular Cars, a 14 year old Rover 75 feels like a “smaller American-ish car but with better handling.” Add to that the fact that it’s comfortable too and that you even get real wood on the dashboard, and you just might walk away impressed.

Of course, its main issue has always been the fact that Rover wanted you to consider it an Audi A4, BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class rival, and that’s a tough crowd to compete with.

This model in particular is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged petrol engine, pumping out 150 PS and 215 Nm (159 lb-ft) of torque. On paper, that was good enough to help it reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.1 seconds, as long as you went with the manual version instead of the automatic (which needed an extra 0.6 seconds to hit the mark).

Also, this is the pre-facelift model, which means it doesn’t come with the newer, more angular bumper, restyled grille, larger door mirrors, new headlights, updated back-lighting for the instrument panel, better console texture finish, more supportive seats and increased rear leg-room.

What really stands out about this Rover 75 is that the owner managed to get it for less than what the dealer was asking for, despite the fact that it had just 93 miles (150 km) on the clock.
