Hard as it might seem to believe, Aston Martin’s Vantage has been with us for no less than 12 years, having being introduced in 2005, and now the British brand is readying its all-new successor that should debut either this autumn or in early 2018.
Scooped on a number of occasions over the past few months, and with its design reportedly leaked in a set of patent images, the new entry-level Aston has been rendered by Aksyonov Nikita.
The CGI images show a front end inspired by the larger DB11, with almost identical hood creases. However, it does set itself apart thanks to the slender headlights with incorporated LED DRLs, and a large grille.
Aston Martin’s new Vantage is believed to use the same Mercedes-AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that recently debuted in the DB11 as a more affordable alternative to the 5.2-liter V12. In the DB11, it puts out 510PS (503hp) and 695Nm (513lb-ft) of torque, which allow for a 0-100 km/h (0- 62mph) sprint in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 301km/h (187mph).
