Hot hatch fans, gather around, have a seat, and get your popcorn ready, because you’re about to watch the 2017 Seat Leon Cupra being punished out in the open.
The POV-style video is more enjoyable than most reviews of the Spanish compact, as it focuses on the pure driving pleasure, rather than informing us about rear legroom and boot capacity, or saying that the facelifted Volkswagen Golf R is (probably) a better choice.
Before checking out the video, we will remind you that the updated 2017 Seat Leon Cupra was presented back in January, this year, and uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 300PS (296hp) and 380Nm (280lb-ft) of torque. Its output is identical to that of the pre-facelifted VW Golf R.
Those looking into the potent hot hatch that was born in Spain can have it as a 3-door or 5-door hatch, as well as an estate, with a six-speed manual or a dual-clutch transmission. The latter can be chosen with the Haldex all-wheel drive system too, which improves traction.
