After showing the Audi TT RS-R Coupe in Geneva earlier this year, ABT Sportsline has now applied similar updates to the Roadster as well.

Just like its fixed roof sibling, the TT RS-R Roadster benefits from the power bump that makes the 2.5-liter five-cylinder petrol engine deliver 500PS (493hp) and 570Nm (420lb-ft) of torque.

With the additional 100PS (99hp) over the stock version, the convertible now needs 3.4sec for the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint, according to the tuner, which makes it 0.1sec faster than the 540hp version of the Audi R8, and 0.3sec quicker than the stock TT RS Coupe.

“We always achieve the maximum in terms of performance of the engines. But never more than technically reasonable. Therefore, there is no risk to the vehicle, and our customers don’t have to compromise to benefit from an ABT”, said the company’s managing director Hans-Jurgen Abt.

Only 50 units of the Audi TT RS-R Roadster will be made, and all of them will benefit from the same visual updates that have been applied to the Coupe. These include the front spoiler, front blades, exclusive grille frame, side skirt add-ons with side blades, rear skirt and 20-inch wheels in a glossy black finish.

There are some upgrades inside too, such as the “refined seats with TT RS-R logo and numerous badges”, in ABT’s words, which can be joined by carbon fiber parts, leather trim and other features available in their catalog.
