With attempted motorcycle thefts in full daylight becoming more frequent, it’s good to see somebody anticipate a possible incident and take off before anything could go down.
Last year, we read about a biker gang blocking a rider in traffic and demanding his keys after chasing him through London, and a couple of months back, a similar incident occurred where four men managed to steal a motorcycle in the middle of the day, also in London.
This “incident” here took place near the center on London, and saw a conspicuous rider approach an intersection on a scooter, circle around and stop right next to someone on a motorcycle.
We don’t know for a fact this was an attempted bike-jacking, but the rider who filmed it was certain about what was happening, saying: “I am adamant this was the start of a Bikejacking. Thankfully the rider in front of me also suspected this. Bikejacking is on the rise and we all should be more vigilant.”
All we know is that after the scooter rider reached the lights, he circled around slowly before making his way towards the motorcycle in front, who started inching forward. The two then apparently made eye contact and the bike rider took off while the light was still red.
