In a bid to convince the public that autonomous cars are the future, Audi is offering select fans the chance to experience the A7 Piloted Driving Concept on the autobahn north of Munich.
The drive lasts for approximately 60 minutes and rides started on July 20 and will run through to August. Those lucky enough to preview the future of mobility will be selected at random through social media outlets run by Audi Germany and Audi on demand users through a raffle organized by Audi Business Innovation GmbH.
The A7 in question, nicknamed “Jack’, has already been tested on three different continents since 2015.
On the autobahn, it can drive at speeds of up to 80.8 mph (130 km/h), much faster than the 37 mph self-driving limit of the all-new Audi A8. Throughout the journey, an Audi employee will be on board and quiz the participants about their experience in the car.
