The hype surrounding the impressive McLaren P1 is starting to fade away a bit, so why not take a look at how its replacement could look like from a rendering artist’s point of view?
By using some cures from the 720S, Su Dong-Liang believes that this design could actually work. The one major drawback, though, are the low-resolution images, which prevent us from zooming in and checking out some of its not so clear features.
There isn’t much we can tell you about the McLaren P1 successor, but a previous report suggested that the upcoming Ultimate Series McLaren might actually ditch its hybrid technology in favor of a fully-electric powertrain. If this turns out to be true, then expect it to be just as fast, or even faster, than the current hypercar, which needs just 2.0sec to reach 60mph (96km/h).
There’s no info on when it might arrive, either, but in any case, a P1 successor will take the battle with Ferrari and Porsche, both of which are expected to offer replacements for the LaFerrari and 918 Spyder respectively, to the next level.
