Families looking for a compact car with plenty of space and a generous boot have often went for the Skoda Octavia, which has received an update for the 2017 model year.
The latest version of the Octavia is more mature than ever, and it’s good to drive, with precise handling and light steering.
If you’re going to buy a Skoda Octavia, make sure you skip the entry-level version, which starts from £17,055 ($21,951) in the UK, and go for SE that is priced from £18,360 ($23,630), or better equipped models, to enjoy sat-nav, rear parking sensors, dual-zone air conditioning and other features.
WhatCar’s Rebecca Jackson drove the 2017 Skoda Octavia and found it to be a smarter choice over compact hatchbacks such as the Golf or Focus, even if it won’t hold on to its value as well as, say, the Golf. Scroll down to watch the whole review for yourselves.
