Hot on the heels of the Jaguar E-Pace barrel rolling its way into the world, the first official promo for Jaguar’s entry-level SUV has also been released.
Jaguar claims that the E-Pace “packs the design and performance of a Jaguar sports car into a spacious, practical and connected all-wheel drive vehicle” so it’s fitting that the promo focuses both on the exterior design of the E-Pace, as well as on its sporty prowess as it winds its way down some particularly beautiful roads.
Slotting below the F-Pace in Jaguar’s range, the E-Pace takes obvious design cues from the F-Type, particularly with its headlights and black grille. On the other hand, the rear is an amalgamation of the F-Pace and the all-electric I-Pace concept and fits perfectly within the British marque’s current design language.
On the engine front, the E-Pace will be offered with a selection of petrol and diesel 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engines. On the petrol front will be a 249 PS/365 Nm option as well as one delivering 300 PS and 295 lb-ft of torque.
As for the diesels, they take the form of one with 150 PS and 380 Nm, a second with 180 PS and 430 Nm and the final variant with 240 PS and 500 Nm. Both six-speed manual and nine-speed automatic gearboxes will be available for certain models and in the UK, vehicles will come with rear-wheel drive as standard. Other markets, including the U.S., will only receive all-wheel drive.
