It’s not exactly surprising that Jay Leno was among the first people to get a 2017 Ford GT; he’s not just one the most famous car collectors around the world, he’s also not afraid to use his cars, no matter what their cost is.
In fact he put 1,000 miles on it in the first week of ownership, which is a clear indication of what’s to come. Ford also gave him the chassis number 12, which is the same with his 2005 Ford GT.
Finished in black with orange stripes, Jay Leno’s example has pretty much every option ticked except the $10,000 titanium exhaust option which didn’t really seem like a good value deal to Leno, and who can blame him.
Power comes for a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost unit with 647hp and 550lb-ft of torque which also features an anti-lag system that keeps the turbos spinning when the driver is off the gas pedal for faster response.
