While this particular color was popularized in automotive culture by the track-focused Mercedes-AMG GT R, other members of the Benz family also look good in bright green.
Take for example this flashy Mercedes-AMG SL 63, caught on camera by Autogespot user Timothy in Antwerp, Belgium earlier this week.
Aside from the easy to spot exterior, this car can also impress you with its 5.5-liter biturbo V8 engine, good for 585 PS (577 HP) and no fewer than 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. On paper, it will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and max out at 250 km/h (155 mph).
Some people might not look at the SL and see a hardcore supercar, but its performance figures and its price tag certainly clarify things. In the U.S. you can buy a Mercedes-AMG SL 63 from just over $150,000, whereas in Europe (Germany to be more precise), you’ll be spending upwards of €160,000 – just €16,000 shy of a 911 Turbo.
Ever since Mercedes updated their flagship roadster, they added a larger infotainment display inside, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, new trim finishes and leather combos, Apple CarPlay connectivity and plenty more.
