Barely a week after $1 million worth of marijuana was seized from a number of Ford Fusions in Ohio, Immigration and Customs Enforcement have discovered even more Ford and Lincoln vehicles packed with the drug.

Unlike the previous shipments of marijuana from Mexico to the United States, where the weed was stashed inside the spare wheel well, drug mules were even more brazen in this case and stuffed almost 300 pounds of marijuana into the rail cars being used to transport the vehicles.

The drugs were seized at the Ford Rail Distribution Facility in Woodhaven, Michigan, not far from Ford’s Dearborn world headquarters.

WXYZ reports that a Ford employee made the discovery and quickly contacted Woodhaven police, who then recruited the help of Homeland Security.

According to HSI special agent in charge Steve Francis, “This seizure ensures that these illegal drugs will never be distributed in our communities and offers actionable intelligence that HSI and our partners can now develop into a larger probe.”
