Opel/Vauxhall have taken the Insignia into its second generation, and it is already available in certain markets, but should you go right ahead and make a deposit?
Well, CarWow found that those interested in a family estate should shortlist it – which tells a lot, considering it goes up against rounded-off competitors such as the Volkswagen Passat, Ford Mondeo, Mazda6, and the slightly larger Skoda Superb.
From a practicality point of view, owning an Insignia estate translates into a good boot capacity, with flat folding rear seats, plenty of legroom and headroom in the rear, a lovely cabin with good quality materials that might just be better than the Passat’s, and nicely equipped models, even in the most basic form.
Hitting the road reveals a nice and soft suspension, which can be made firmer and reduce body roll at the touch of a button in Sport mode, comfortable seats, and decent sound proofing, which makes for a relaxing journey.
Nevertheless, there are some flaws Insignia Sports Tourer owners will have to live with, but you’ll have to check out the video posted below to find out what these are.
