From the dog-friendly SUV, to the X-Trail equipped with its very own drone, Nissan knows how to keep its fans close.
Their latest creation is an action multipurpose 360º camera, which can be attached to the Juke’s dashboard. It has a 3-hour recording capacity and it can be used as a dashcam, allowing users to record their journeys for potential insurance claims.
However, that’s not the camera’s only feature, as it can be detached from the dashboard and fitted to a helmet, thus making it “perfect for filming every aspect of the driver’s life”, writes Nissan, no matter if it is “on the slopes, in the air, down mountain trails, or on any other adventure where a first-person camera is part of the kit list”.
Developed together with 360fly, a manufacturer of 360º cameras, the JukeCam’s capabilities are showcased on video, used by members of Xpogo, an extreme pogo team. Stunt performer Dalton Smith jumped over three Nissan Jukes in a row, during filming, with a single bounce between them, and he managed to set a new Guinness World Record for ‘Most Consecutive Cars Jumped Over on a Pogo Stick’.
“This was never going to be an easy world record to break, but the team and I are always up for a challenge. When Nissan approached us with the idea of JukeCam we were all super-excited. Nissan’s JukeCam is an awesome concept for drivers; I could definitely put it to good use”, commented the new record holder.
