The full range of engines for the upcoming 2018 BMW X2 have been leaked by the Spanish media and, as we predicted, they’ll be a punchy variant on offer.
Dubbed the X2 M35i xDrive, it’ll top out the range and be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 300 hp, Motor reports.
Alongside the M35i xDrive will be five other petrol-powered derivatives, starting with the 140 hp x2 sDrive 18i and X2 xDrive 18i, both with 140 hp. Moving up in the range is the X2 sDrive 20i and xDrive 20i with 192 hp, followed by the 231 hp X2 xDrive 25i.
In total, there will be six diesel X2s available. They start at 116 hp with the x2 sDrive 16d and rise to 150 hp in the X2 sDrive 18d and X2 xDrive 18d, 192 hp for the X2 sDrive 20d and X2 xDrive 20d and top out at 231 hp in the X2 xDrive 25d.
The 2018 BMW X2 will make its official debut at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
