Renault is continuing to test the 2018 Megane R.S. at what is arguably the world’s best proving ground, Germany’s famed Nurburgring.

The world received its first taste of the overhauled hot hatch at the Monaco Ground Prix and in this clip, we get to see the car tearing around the circuit while adorned in the usual black and white camoflaged attire.

The beating heart of the Megane R.S. will take the shape of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine pumping out approximately 300 hp. As with the current car, power will be sent exclusively through the front wheels but unlike any other Megane R.S. before it, the new car will debut with four-wheel steering, the latest trend in the performance car industry.

Further helping to broaden the appeal of the new hatch will be the availability of both a six-speed manual and a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Owners will also have two different chassis settings at their disposal; ‘Sport’, dedicated for everyday use while still combining exceptional performance and ‘Cup’, a setting created specially for track performance.
