Following the debut of the updated Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan earlier this spring, the coupe and convertible versions of the series are also getting ready to pay a visit to the plastic surgeon.
The restyled flagship four-door is a good indicator of what we should expect on the outside: slight updates on both ends, and new wheel designs, up to 20-in in diameter.
Opening the door will reveal a tweaked cabin, with two high-res displays, each with a diagonal of 12.3-in, new touch-sensitive controls, and a wide assortment of wood and leather trim to choose from, as this prototype of the S-Class Cabriolet shown here, partially reveals.
Both the S-Class Cabriolet and S-Class Coupe will also benefit from autonomous driving tech, just like their four-door sibling, and will also be packed with all kinds of driver assistance features, from Emergency Stop Assist to Remote Parking.
The engine lineup should carry on from the 2018 S-Class saloon topped by the performance variants developed by AMG. Both variants are expected to celebrate their public premiere later this fall.
