We’ve seen the new McLaren 720S under the spotlight in Geneva, and found out that it’s a marvelous automotive piece in the first reviews.
Now it’s time to check out how the Woking-based company delivers it across the globe, with the latest example finding its way to Boston, where it was shipped to a local dealership.
As usual, a small crowd gathered around the truck from which the British supercar emerged moments later, with its body wrapped up in protection foil, meant to keep scratches away. Unloading it was not an easy task, considering that it costs almost $300,000.
The 720S that replaces the 650S has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, rated at 720PS (710hp) and 770Nm (568lb-ft) of torque. That’s enough to make it faster than the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, on paper at least, as well as the Ferrari 488 GTB, as it needs less than 3sec to reach 100km/h (62mph), and will top out at 341km/h (212mph).
