After countless teasers and what feels like an endless marketing campaign, the time has come for the world to see the next Audi flagship, the all-new A8.

From what we’ve seen so far it’s safe to assume that the new A8 will not rewrite the design rules (it’s an Audi, after all) but we are going to see some serious and very impressive tech features debuting with the German flagship.

It looks like Audi is taking full advantage of the standard 48-volt electrical system; all versions of the new A8 will be mild-hybrids thanks to the magic of the 48-volt system which will also feed the new fully active suspension with juice.

The new electromechanical suspension system collaborates with the vehicle’s front camera which detects bumps early on and predictively adjusts the suspension, with Audi claiming the new A8 will offer a perfect ride quality and comfort, with no vibrations or jolts at all.

The company’s latest semi-autonomous systems will also be present, with the new A8 also being able to park itself. Rear passengers will be treated with a ‘relaxation seat’ with foot massage function.

Audi is revealing the new A8 at the first Audi Summit in Barcelona live at the video below at 10:30am CEST / 4:30am EST.
