If you’re in the market for a used compact hot hatch, then, more likely than not, the Volkswagen Golf GTI should be high on your list.
However, if you would like something different than the default choice in the segment, then this Volvo C30 Polestar might be worth looking into.
It was made in 2013, as one of the last units of the C30 before the V40 was introduced, and it comes with a Polestar optimization pack that allows the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, which is mated to a six-speed stick shift, to produce 250 horses.
The ad posted on Craigslist says that “there are no dings, dents, or scratches”, and that “the interior is also in excellent condition, with minimal wear”. The seller also explains that the car, which has some 62,000 miles (100,000km) on the clock, is equipped with a new set of BF Goodrich tires, and a Volvo accessory roof rack that was installed at the dealer.
As far as the reason of selling this Volvo C30 Polestar, the seller’s family decided that they do not need two cars, after moving from the Midwest to Portland, so they have to let it go, “even if this one is the most fun”, so they’re asking $17,000 in exchange.
So, all things considered, would you choose it over something like a Golf GTI or a Ford Focus RS?
