Prepare for 1 minute and 19 seconds of pure emotion brought forward by Aston Martin with the official launch film of the AMG-powered DB11.

Coinciding with the arrival of the first reviews, the commercial highlights the car’s sleek design, sprinkled with lots of V8 growls, leaving us wondering if we can place yet another mortgage on our houses to enjoy the purity of this Aston on a daily basis.

As the British marque says, “the V8-powered DB11 is the first Aston Martin to receive an engine supplied by Mercedes-AMG”. It’s the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo unit that powers an assortment of AMG vehicles, and it’s rated to deliver 510PS (503hp) and 675Nm (lb-ft) of torque to the ground, thus allowing the DB11 to complete the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in just 4.0sec; top speed is 301km/h (187mph).

Now, if having an AMG V8 powering your Aston seems like a cliché, despite being more than qualified to serve its purpose, then you might want to check out the V12 version of the car. It uses a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 mill, developed in-house by Aston Martin, and pumps out 608PS (600hp) and 700Nm (516lb-ft) of torque.
