Never before have supercar owners had so much choice when it comes to their latest toys.
Whether it’s a hardcore coupe that is focused on track driving, a convertible that’s still perfectly acceptable for daily use or an F1-powered hypercar, there are dozens of options out there. Two of the most desirable are certainly the Audi R8 V10 Spyder and the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet.
While the two are both convertibles and have all-wheel drive, they couldn’t be more different, as Motor Trend recently discovered in their latest Head 2 Head test.
For starters, the Audi shares its naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine with the Lamborghini Huracan while the Porsche continues to use a 3.8-liter turbo six-cylinder. Obviously, the Porsche doesn’t sound as nice but thanks to its forced induction, it has more torque than the Audi and is faster in a straight line.
However, when it comes to making a statement, the Audi is by far and away the one to choose.
Which would you have?
