Using words such as ‘Typhoon’ or ‘Hurricane’ to describe cars is not exactly appropriate these days, after the natural disasters that struck parts of Asia and the United States recently.

However, this is how G-Power baptizes its staggering creations, and their latest one brings the BMW X5 M’s output on the same page with some of the hottest supercars of the moment.

It’s called the ‘Typhoon’, and it takes 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine that powers the brand’s flagship SUV, bringing its output from 575PS (567hp) and 750Nm (553lb-ft) of torque, to 750PS (739hp) and 980Nm (723lb-ft) of torque.

These numbers were achieved by modifying the turbochargers, and applying the Bi-Tronik 2 V3 engine control software, which can be customized to each individual engine. The tuner doesn’t say how fast their X5 M is to 100km/h (62mph), but we’re likely looking at a sub-4sec time.

Bystanders will definitely hear and see this potent Bimmer SUV coming, as it also benefits from a titanium sports exhaust, wider wheel arches, larger air intakes in the redesigned front bumper, tweaked rear bumper, and giant 23-inch rims, wrapped in 315/25 high performance tires.
