It looks like Lamborghini is working on a new hardcore version of the Aventador, as we caught not one, but two development prototypes being tested on the road.
This is the second time we see a Lamborghini Aventador prototype being tested with what looks like a similar exhaust setup with the Huracan Performante; as you can see, there are two exhaust pipes positioned between the taillights, trying to hide under a bulky cover, just like its smaller brother did when it was in its development phase.
Lamborghini kept the central exhaust tip of the regular Aventador S but this clearly is just a decoy, a rather unsuccessful one if we may add. The new exhaust layout means that Lamborghini is going to apply the innovative ALA active aero agenda to the big daddy as well.
Reports suggest that the new, even badder Aventador will also use the Performante suffix as well but whether the new version will slot above the old SV model remains to be seen.
With the Huracan Performante, Lamborghini created a model that’s faster around the Nurburgring from its flagship Aventador SV, as well as other significantly more expensive cars. Giving us an even faster version of the Aventador, which uses the same and apparently very effective aero wizardry, sounds like the next logical step for Lamborghini.
