The Ferrari 458 Italia has already cemented its place in Ferrari history as one of the marque’s finest ever road cars and is assured to remain desirable for decades to come. However, the following 458 is a little different.
You see, this 458 may look beautiful both inside and out, but it has been through a lot. More specifically, it’s been flooded in a previous life and is currently looking for a new owner on Copart.
The car currently resides in Long Island, New York and has a mere 2,627 miles on the clock. If it wasn’t for the flood damage, buyers would be lining up to have a chance to own it.
The listing is limited in details but says the Italian supercar has a ‘salvage rebuildable’ title which isn’t very confidence inspiring. There’s no mention of whether the naturally-aspirated 4.5-liter V8 runs and all the images show is that the electronics in the gauge cluster appear fully functional.
Despite the money pit the mid-engine supercar could prove to be, it has attracted some interest and at the time of writing, the highest bid was a hefty $82,500.
