If you’re familiar with the Lexus LFA, you probably know that the Japanese automaker is no stranger to making loud supercars.
The RC F, on the other hand is a completely different beast. Fundamentally, it’s nowhere near as hardcore as the LFA, yet, if you install a custom Armytrix valvetronic exhaust system, all bets are off when it comes to noise.
This might be one of the loudest Lexus models we’ve ever heart, period. Doing a “cold start” in this car will at least wake the neighbors, if not the dead in the nearest cemetery.
You can see that initially, the car isn’t revved any higher than 3,500rpm, which is astonishing considering how many crackles is can muster. It’s brutal even while idling. After the 2:30 minute mark, you’ll see the car in motion. Scratch that, you’ll hear it take off from a standstill, and later on, you’ll hear it accelerating in a tunnel.
The best part of course is that the RC F was never all-show and no go in the first place. Its 5.0-liter V8 puts down 477 PS (467 HP) and 530 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque, enough to get it from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in roughly 4.5 seconds.
