Lamborghini just unveiled the Aventador S Roadster at the Frankfurt Motor Show and it appears the company has something even more exciting in the works.
In an interview with CarAdvice, Lamborghini research and development director Maurizio Reggiani stated “Soon we will present, to our most important customers, a new version of what we call a one-off.”
Little is known about the car but Reggiani said the model will be used to “introduce some new technology.” There’s no word on what the technology is but the R&D boss noted the Centenario was the first Lamborghini to be introduced with rear wheel steering and it later become available on the Aventador S.
Unfortunately, your chances of buying the mysterious supercar are pretty slim as Reggiani expects the entire production run to be sold ahead of the car’s unveiling. This isn’t too surprising as he noted “We did it with the Reventon, the Reventon Roadster, the Concept J, Veneno Roadster, [and] Sesto Elemento.”
Lamborghini will likely contact prospective buyers later this year before unveiling the car at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
