If you think that Apple’s latest IPhone X is pretty expensive, then clearly you haven’t heard about Lamborghini’s smartphone.
It’s called the Lamborghini Alpha One and is offered by Tonino Lamborghini, the company’s lifestyle products division named after the son of Ferucio Lamborghini, for the rather salty price of around $2,500.
That’s 2.5 times what Apple is asking for the entry-level version of the futuristic IPhone X which comes with an edge-to-edge display and can use your face to unlock itself, so the Lambo phone must be even more impressive, right?
Wrong. As it turns out, the Alpha One offers the same specs found in Android phones costing around $400. A 5.5-inch WQHD display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 20-megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint scanner are simply not worth the asking price.
Instead, Lamborghini is hoping to attract the super rich with the design and the luxurious materials used in the build, including leather, carbon fiber and metal. Unbox Therapy takes a look at this rather ridiculous marketing exercise which finds more than one ways to disappoint the average Lamborghini fanboy.
