By utilizing a third, larger turbocharged, alongside two stock turbos, this heavily-customized McLaren 12C Spider sounds like a jet fighter when it accelerates…and goes like one as well.
Designed to be a functional time attack car, this 12C was modified by Hypercar Development to put down no fewer than 1,200 HP on race gas, and around 1,000 horses on regular pump gas.
Other mods include the upgraded transmission, race clutch, the custom mechanical limited slip differential, active aero bits (wing) and the race-spec roll cage, which actually doesn’t affect the retractable hard top in any way.
During his drive, Farah actually confessed that he had just gotten out of a 500 HP VW Eos and while that car might be considered extreme by most people, the tri-turbo 12C still required some “mental adjustments” to be done.
Safe to say, he absolutely adored driving this thing, praising it for its suspension, handling, soundtrack and most of all, its acceleration. As for the tri-turbo setup, it worked like a charm.
