Subaru has a whole raft of debuts in store for the Tokyo Motor Show this year. We’ve already brought you initial details on the Viziv Performance Concept and the BRZ STI Sport and WRX STI S208 editions… but there’s more.
Alongside those main events, the Japanese automaker has three production models lined up for Tokyo with conceptual enhancements to set them apart.
Pictured above is a version of the Impreza called the Future Sport Concept. The five-door hatch is decked out in bright yellow and enhanced with new front and rear bumpers, a pair of center-exit exhaust tips, giving it a sporty look approaching that of the WRX that’s long since been spun off as its own model.
The XV Fun Adventure Concept also gets the bumblebee look, but takes a entirely different approach – one decidedly more rugged for enjoying the great outdoors. Knobbier tires enhance off-road traction, beefier cladding protects the lower body (and makes it look more rugged), with a roof rack attached for added versatility.
Finally there’s an Outback Limited Smart Edition that takes a more elegant approach to the Legacy-based wagon. Those include a new grille, fresh wheels, and an interior with Ultrasuede seats and dark embossed silver accents – plus an eight-inch infotainment display running Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a Harman/Kardon audio system.
The Outback looks most ready for production, but all three could see showrooms in the near future if reception is positive enough once the show opens in a month from now.
