From Ducati motorcycles to hybrid BMWs, we’ve seen Garage Italia Customs personalize all manner of vehicles – but none quite as frequently as the Fiat 500.
This latest is the Fiat 500C Missoni edition, decked out inside and out in the signature multicolored stripe motif of the Italian fashion brand in honor of its head Angela Missoni.
The special one-off was crafted by the Garage under Angela’s direction and donated to the American Foundation for AIDS research. amfAR auctioned it off at its recent gala in Milan, where it raised €50,000 (nearly $60k at current exchange rates) for the foundation’s activities.
Two years ago, Garage Italia similarly donated a Fiat 500 for the amfAR gala, where it was presented in white as a blank canvas for the winning bidder to have customized by the studio. The customization studio is headed by Lapo Elkann, who was instrumental in the launch of the Gucci and Diesel editions of the same retro hatchback.
