Renault has launched a new Iconic Special Edition model of the Twingo, which can be had in the United Kingdom, with deliveries starting this month.
Pricing starts at £14,595 ($18,833) when paired with a manual gearbox, or £15,515 ($20,020) for the EDC automatic version, and Renault claims that thanks to its extra equipment, it provides customers with a saving of £740 ($955).
Available in three finishes, called Crystal White, Diamond Black, and Mint Green, it’s based on the Dynamique version of the city car, to which it adds a host of exterior upgrades.
These include the crosshatched ‘Iconic’ side decals, exclusive 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically folding side mirrors, and fabric folding sunroof with the same pattern as the interior.
Opening the door of the new Renault Twingo Iconic Special Edition reveals the ‘Iconic’ crosshatch-patterned part-leather upholstery, Mint Green touch pack with its colorful hints around the cabin, and floor mats with a Mint Green Twingo motif.
It’s also equipped with automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, front fog lights, electric heated mirrors, R-Link satellite navigation, DAB radio, Bluetooth, climate control, and cruise control with speed limiter.
Motivation comes from the TCe 90PS (89hp) turbocharged petrol engine, which allows it to accelerate from naught to 62mph (100km/h) in 10.8 seconds, and up to a top speed of 103mph (166km/h). This version of the Twingo returns up to 65.7 UK mpg (54.7 US mpg / 4.3 l/100 km) in the NEDC, and emits 99 g/km of CO2.
