What you see here is a bachelor thesis project for a four-seater Audi GT said to be inspired by architectural landmarks, gadgets, and even fighter planes.
It’s the work of industrial design student Vlad Solopeev, whose creation combines sharp angles with soft lines in a design that definitely draws more from the past, and specifically, the 100 Coupe S from the ’70s, than the brand’s present lineup.
While we’ll admit that the 3D-renderings need some work as they’re rough around the edges, we’ll give the student credit for trying to differentiate the GT from Audi’s running design DNA. If you don’t pay attention to the four rings applied at both ends, you might not believe that you’re looking at an Audi.
It would have been interesting to hear what engine(s) the designer had in mind for the GT, but we gather the turbocharged 2.0-liter four and 3.0-liter V6 would be prime candidates.
