It appears as though Buick will introduce a LaCrosse Avenir in 2018.
GM Inside News has gained access to GM’s 2018 Vehicle Identification Number Decoder, recently submitted to the NHTSA, and it includes a LaCrosse Avenir in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations.
Although no further details are divulged in the document about the vehicle, it can be expected to take styling cues from the Enclave Avenir, the SUV which premiered Buick’s new Avenir luxury sub-brand.
As such, the LaCrosse should receive tweaked front and rear fascias, including a bespoke grille, new wheels and LED lights. Inside, interesting buyers can expect a range of new options like contrast stitching, embroidered front headrests, wood-trimmed steering wheel, and Avenir door sills.
A slew of other touches should come standard, including adaptive cruise control, pedestrian braking, lane keep and departure, forward automatic braking and rear cross traffic alert. An 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and an OnStar 4G LTE WiFi hotspot is inevitable.
Prices should start at a touch over $45,000.
