A 1950 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Roadster discovered in a Wisconsin barn after half a century of hibernation is currently for sale on eBay.
Limited details about the first 19 years of the Jaguar’s life are known but the seller claims that the previous owner purchased the drop-top in 1969. At the time, it was missing its original engine and transmission and the female owner had planned to restore it.
However, that never happened and the XK120 remained in her garage for almost 50 years until a Jaguar enthusiast heard about the car and attempted to purchase it for a solid three years. The owner eventually parted ways with it and it was towed out of the garage.
The listing itself goes into extraordinary detail about the vehicle’s history and is well worth a read.
Currently, the highest bid sits at 28,000 pounds ($37,125) but that is still shy of the reserve.
