Audi Sport has a few surprises in store for us, and we’re not talking only about the performance versions of the upcoming A6 and A7, but also what appears to be an even meaner R8.
Captured by our spy photographers just earlier this week, the German supercar is believed to revive the R8 GT nameplate, sporting a slew of visual updates, in addition to extra muscle under the hood.
Now, besides some styling revisions outlined from beneath the tester’s camo wrap, there’s nothing else that gives away the identity of the prototype Audi R8, but Aksyonov Nikita believes he has a few ideas in regards to the design. These renderings suggest some special touches on the exterior like the aero mods and oval tailpipes incorporated into the rear diffuser, but could he be right?
That’s a tough one to answer at this point, as we can’t even tell you how much power it will have, whether it will continue to use the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine, or if it will push output to the rear axle, or to all four corners.
