The Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe is a great alternative to a supercar: it’s comfortable, practical, sonorous and very fast, thanks to the 503hp and 516lb-ft (700Nm) of torque produced by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine.

However, despite being able to cover the 0-60mph (96km/h) distance in a whopping 3.8sec, it does have its downsides, such as the expensive maintenance compared to a regular model that lacks the AMG badge.

So, how much is an oil change made at the dealer? Try $152, a sum that covers the oil, oil filter, and labor. Okay, it’s not that costly, and you won’t be required to do this operation before the odo reads 10,000 miles (16,000km), but we reckon that changing some parts of the suspension, or doing other work, could turn out to be quite expensive.

Besides the oil change, the car shown here also had to get some other work done, as the right side marker lamp was not functioning, and this required changing the control module, and the rear bumper was sticking out just a bit. Luckily, it’s a 2018MY bought new, so the warranty covered them, and the owner eventually left the dealer with a smile on his face, after punishing the throttle.
