Hyundai has teamed up with Vaccar to create a unique Tucson Sport concept for SEMA.
Looking sporty and aggressive, the model has been equipped with a front spoiler, extended side skirts, and a rear diffuser. The team also installed a mesh grille, a two-tone paint job, and 20-inch forged wheels with Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires.
The styling changes are more than skin deep as the crossover features as unique interior with Katzkin ice grey leather upholstery and fog Suedezkin accents. Drivers will also find an AutoMeter triple gauge pod and an Android-powered infotainment system with a nine-inch display. Other notable features include a rear seat entertainment system and a custom audio system with a subwoofer.
Under the hood, the crossover’s engine has been equipped with a Boostec turbocharger, an AEM air intake, and a cat-back exhaust system. Other highlights include a charge pipe kit, a Mishimoto intercooler, and Magnaflow performance mufflers.
Speaking of performance, the Tucson has been outfitted with a coilover suspension and a Vaccar-Power Stop braking system.
Hyundai is keeping performance specifications under wraps but the standard model can be equipped with two different engines. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder develops 164 hp (122 kW) and 151 lb-ft (204 Nm) of torque while the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder produces 175 hp (130 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque.
