From fictional characters, to people of various backgrounds and interests, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class appeals to all, or so the Germans want us to believe with their newest commercial.
The odd spot shows the stylish pickup truck that’s based off the Nissan Navara in different environments, “from the roughest desert to the most stylish urban setting”, where “everyone becomes a follower”, in the brand’s own words.
Expect to see the first units of the X-Class on the streets of Europe before the end of the year, as order books have already opened.
Following its arrival on the Old Continent, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class will then start shipping to other parts of the globe, such as South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand from early 2018, while a year later, the truck will go on sale in Argentina and Brazil as well.
In case you missed the news, Mercedes-Benz will not sell the X-Class in the world’s largest pickup truck market, the United States.
Depending on the market, customers will have the option of up to four engines at launch, which can be paired to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic transmission driving the rear or all four wheels. Mercedes will launch other powertrains in the near future.
