After moving away from Volvo last week, Polestar has started the teasing game that will eventually lead to the presentation of a new car.
Teased on Instagram, the vehicle doesn’t give its nature away, and there’s not much to work with in regards to finding out what exactly we’re looking at here, because it could be just about anything at this point.
However, the most plausible scenario builds upon a report published a few months ago, which said that Polestar’s first model will be a two-door coupe. If this turns out to be the case, then expect plenty of carbon fiber used in its body, and as much as 600hp coming from the engine compartment.
You might want to take that last bit with a grain of salt, though, because after parting ways with Volvo, Polestar is becoming a separate brand that focuses on zero-emission vehicles, and the ‘600hp’ bit comes in contradiction with the EV technology.
Of course, there’s always the possibility of a new S90/V90 Polestar, as is previewing the upcoming S60 with a show car, but we will find out exactly what we have here on October 17, when the brand will finally unveil it.
Until then, feel free to put some of the pieces of the puzzle together.
