Detailing new Zagato models earlier this week has fueled Aston Martin’s desire for even more limited edition models, as their latest work wears the signature of NFL star Tom Brady.
Created by Aston Martin Q, it’s called the Vanquish Volante Tom Brady Signature Edition, and it’s limited to just 12 examples, the first of which will be shipped to their owners in the first quarter of 2018, reportedly carrying a starting price of $359,000.
“It was an easy decision to go with the Vanquish S for the special edition – it is an incredible car to drive and is truly a work of art”, said the New England Patriots’ quarterback.
“It’s been great to see it all come to fruition and I’m proud to share a name with it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.”
All units of the British marque’s special Vanquish S Volante are finished in Ultramarine Black, and feature the ‘TB12’ logo on a fender badge. Inside, they bear Brady’s signature on the sill plates, Dark Knight leather, and carbon fiber trim, while as an extra touch, California Poppy leather has been used on the paddle shift tips, inspired by the One-77.
At its heart lies a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that feeds 580PS (572hp) and 630Nm (465lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. The regular Vanquish S Volante needs 3.5 sec to reach 100km/h (62mph) from a standstill, and it will keep going up to 323km/h (201mph).
