Eighteen months ago, a unique Transformers-themed Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse hit California’s used car market for $2.1 million.
Fast forward to the final quarter of 2017 and the one-off is still looking for a new home and now has an asking price of $1.89 million thanks to iLusso. Will it sell? We’re not so sure.
As these images show, the Vitesse really is unlike any other. It was commissioned by the original owner with a blue paint scheme that includes a large Autobot logo on the hood. The bespoke touches continue inside with bright blue and black camoflage and ‘Daniel’ stitched into the headrests, presumably the name of the original owner.
As a whole, the Transformers theme is quite subtle. However, such a Veyron would only appeal to a very small minority of individuals wealthy enough to purchase the French hypercar. Herein lies the problem of individualizing a car to the nth degree, it dramatically hampers the possibility of selling the car.
If you had $1.9 million, would you buy this Transformers-inspired Bugatti?
